About

Meet Artist Melissa (Meli) Andrés
Originally from Holguin, Cuba, Meli arrived in the United States at the age of six. She grew up in Florida, but has lived in New York and Europe. She holds a BA in International Studies from the University of South Florida and an MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College. A published poet, she understands creative expression on canvas as well as in the written word. Her original oil and canvas paintings are inspired by her travels and family.
